The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley offers a variety of beautiful surroundings ideal for hosting your wedding. As the largest green space in the City of Winchester, the MSV offers both indoor and outdoor spaces, including the site’s six-acre Glen Burnie Gardens, perfectly suited for anything from quaint ceremonies to large receptions. With several unique spaces ready to be decorated to suit your tastes, ample parking, and a convenient location just minutes from historic Old Town Winchester, the MSV is the ideal choice for all your entertaining and photography needs on your special day. The beautifully renovated Glen Burnie House is perfect for an intimate dinner or a cocktail style reception. You have access to the first floor of the House, including the formal Drawing Room and the adjacent Terrace and Library and use of all garden spaces on the spectacular six-acre landscape. A tent may also be rented for a covered outdoor reception. There are a variety of garden spaces available to host a lovely ceremony or a warm reception, from the Grand Alee for a larger crowd to the Water Garden for a smaller, intimate gathering.

Venue notes

The rental fee ranges from $2,500 to $3,500 for a ceremony and reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. The fee for a ceremony-only wedding is $1,650. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $500/hr. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required.
