Nestled in the heart of Virginia’s Piedmont countryside, Great Meadow is a 380-acre field events center and steeplechase course. It’s also the answer to an affordable wedding venue that lives up to what you have in mind for your dream day. What about a property that gives you complete control? Get married, or have your wedding reception, or have both at one of the most beautiful and romantic places in Piedmont, Virginia. You can plan your ceremony at one on-site location and then hold your reception at another. There are so many choices, including the Summer House and terrace, the famous Steward Stand; Winner Circle, Meadow Pavilion, Swan Lake, and Festival Hill. You’ll get amazing photo opportunities and you will have full control of how you want to use the property, including your preferred vendors instead of theirs if that’s your desire. Without the restrictions of traditional venues, the day you envision is the day you will have at the beautiful Great Meadow.

The rental fee ranges up to $5,500 for a ceremony and reception and includes 12 hours of event time including set up and clean up time. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required. Please note events with over 35 cars, traffic control is required. There is a 100% tax write off. Please note venue has limited indoor space, if that package is selected. Tenting is allowed and we would be happy to refer you to our preferred (not required though) tenting vendor.
